The SKINNY chair is part of a series of furniture designed for the Bar Nou in Barcelona.
With formal allusions to Barcelona's sixties and seventies architectural culture, it introduces a contemporary approach to the use of materials from the Catalan domestic tradition.
It is the combination of thin round profiles of coloured coated steel and bulrush, a material often used in anonymous and traditional Mediterranean wooden chairs, which subverts their heavy appearance while somehow keeping their essence and comfort.
